8" Microsoft Surface mini in the works; brings 1080p and air gesture control

We've just hear a rumour that Microsoft is working for Surface Mini. 

The Surface Mini will have 8" screen, just like the (cancelled?) Nokia Lumia 2020. The source said that the Surface Mini will have Windows 8.1 (or RT 8.1?) and a Bay Trail chipset with ARM architecture.

The tablet will have some Kinect-like air gesture technology.
